GENERAL CRITERIA FOR ABIFF AWARDS
All films submitted must have been completed not earlier than January 1st 2024
The submission’s pictures must be clear, submitted as an MP4 format full HD (1920 x 1080)
The submission must have good sound
Non-English language films need to have English subtitles.
The films will be judged based on the originality, creativity, plot, pacing, structure, characters, subject matter, sound, and cinematography of the film.
The most outstanding productions will be eligible for the festival award categories.
ABIFF FILM AWARD CATEGORIES
Best Picture
The film runtime should exceed 50 minutes
Open to all genres, including fiction and non-fiction
Best Short Film
Film runtime should not exceed 30 minutes
Open to all genres, including fiction and non-fiction
Best Documentary Feature
The film runtime should exceed 50 minutes
Open to all genres, including fiction and non-fiction
Best Documentary Short
Film runtime should not exceed 30 minutes
Open to all genres, including fiction and non-fiction
Best Student Film
Only short films will be accepted in this category
The film should not exceed 30 minutes
Open to all genres, including fiction and non-fiction
The Director, Producer, or Screenwriter of the film must be a female student who is currently enrolled in an educational institution
The film must be by a female Student Director, Producer or Screenwriter
Best Animated Short Film
Film runtime should not exceed 30 minutes
Open to all genres, including fiction and non-fiction
